Portfolio BlogSince 2004 Debby has been producing conceptual work with strong socio-political themes, including homelessness, ecology, identity and gender roles.
Intrigued by the use of textiles as a means of communication she often uses processes, or materials that would be considered intrinsically domestic or feminine often combining these with still or moving projected images, video and sound. More recently she has produced small pen and ink drawing that were informed by her previous body of work.
She considers her practice to be a forum for debate that will potentially stimulate an audience to ask questions.
Debby graduated from Oxford Brookes University in June 2008 with a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art
